In Pune's Ganesh Peth fish market, prices for various types of fish have fallen by 10% due to an oversupply. On Sunday (October 27), the market saw an inflow of 20 tons of deep-sea fish, 500 kilograms of creek fish, and 700 kilograms of river fish.

Traders reported that fish types including rohu, katla, and silan arrived in bulk from Andhra Pradesh, adding approximately 25 tons to the supply. Despite the fall in fish prices, the supply and pricing of chicken, mutton, and eggs have remained stable.

Chicken prices are holding at ₹220 per kilogram for whole chicken and ₹270 per kilogram for leg pieces, while mutton prices are consistent at ₹740 per kilogram for different cuts. Egg prices for local varieties are ₹120 per dozen, while imported varieties are slightly lower at ₹78 per dozen.

According to fish trader Thakur Pardeshi, chicken and egg trader Rupesh Pardeshi, and mutton vendor Prabhakar Kamble, stable supply in other meats is helping balance demand.
