Pune: As part of the preparations for the upcoming elections, a Single Window Cell has been established at the Thergaon office of the Chinchwad Assembly Constituency, announced Election Officer Anil Pawar.
This cell, located at the G Regional Office on the ground floor, will streamline the process for candidates seeking permissions for various election-related activities.
The cell will facilitate the provision of forms and information regarding required documents for permissions related to campaign vehicles, public meetings, temporary party offices, rallies, processions, roadshows, padayatras, and other campaign-related activities such as stages, barricades, and platforms.
This initiative is expected to simplify the procedural aspects of election campaigns for candidates in the Chinchwad constituency.
Election Officer Anil Pawar confirmed that all 564 polling stations in the constituency would have webcasting facilities, allowing for live streaming during the voting process.
He also emphasized that there are no polling stations marked as troublesome, sensitive, or prone to negative incidents within the constituency.
In parallel, Premprakash Meena, the Election Expense Observer, visited the Election Officer’s office to oversee the expense monitoring process. He issued instructions to verify candidates' expenses according to Election Commission regulations.
Meena warned that discrepancies found in the candidates' financial reports will lead to appropriate action. A dedicated Election Expense Management Cell has been set up on the third floor to oversee daily expense tracking, and Meena personally reviewed the actions taken by this cell.
Additionally, the Chinchwad Assembly has designated five distinct types of polling stations to enhance voter convenience:
Women’s Polling Station – Podar International School, Taleranagar Chinchwad (Polling Station No. 147)
Youth Polling Station – Baburaoji Gholap Secondary and Higher Secondary School, New Sangvi (Polling Station No. 499)
