Pune: Regional airline FLY91 has announced the addition of two new direct flight routes: Mumbai-Solapur and Goa-Solapur.
This expansion strengthens the airline’s network, connecting Solapur, an industrial and textile hub in Maharashtra, with Mumbai, India’s financial capital, and Goa, a major tourist destination.
The new services, set to commence on December 23, mark a significant step in FLY91’s mission to enhance regional air connectivity. Tickets for these routes will be available shortly. With this development, the Goa-headquartered airline now connects nine domestic destinations.
"FLY91 will be the first airline to provide direct connectivity between Mumbai and Solapur, simplifying travel for those frequenting the textile hub and pilgrimage sites.
Additionally, connecting Solapur to Goa brings the popular tourist state within convenient reach for the region’s residents," stated Manoj Chacko, Managing Director and CEO of FLY91.
Launched in March 2024, FLY91 operates under the vision of fostering regional connectivity and supports the Union Aviation Ministry’s UDAN scheme, which aims to improve accessibility to underserved areas.
The introduction of these routes is expected to stimulate economic activity by boosting trade and tourism while providing a reliable and efficient travel option for passengers.
Based out of Manohar International Airport in Goa, FLY91 currently operates routes connecting key locations, including Mumbai, Pune, Jalgaon, Sindhudurg, and Solapur in Maharashtra, as well as Agatti in Lakshadweep, and metropolitan cities like Bengaluru and Hyderabad.
