Food Vendors at 10 Railway Stations get Rating
Rating certificates were given to all food vendors, food suppliers, restaurants as well as retail food shops and booths at ten railway stations in Pune division.
Pune: The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has launched the 'Eat Right Station' initiative to provide safe food items to railway passengers through clean handling.
Under this, rating certificates were given to all food vendors, food suppliers, restaurants as well as retail food shops and booths at ten railway stations in Pune division.
The training was imparted to the professionals at Pune, Shivajinagar, Kolhapur, Miraj, Sangli, Satara, Daund, Ahilyanagar, Kopargaon and Sainagar Shirdi stations.
Maharashtra State Food Safety Commissioner Rajesh Narvekar, Joint Commissioner of Pune Division Suresh Annapure, Coordination Officer Narayan Sarkate and Central Food Safety Officer Sudhir Kumar of Pune Railway Station were instrumental in this.
