Pune: In the latest update from the First Year Junior College (FYJC) centralized admission process for Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad, a total of 865 students have been granted admission to Class 11th in the sixth special round.
Out of 1,077 eligible students, these 865 candidates were able to secure seats in their preferred colleges. Students are required to confirm their admissions by September 25.
This round marks the conclusion of five earlier special rounds and three regular rounds. In the sixth special round, 146 students were placed in the Arts stream, 368 in Commerce, 302 in Science, and 49 in the Vocational Education stream.
Students must log in to the official admission portal to complete the "Proceed for Admission" process, upload the necessary documents, and visit the college for final confirmation.
Students have been urged to complete their admission by 6 PM on September 25. Dr. Jyoti Parihar, Assistant Director and Member Secretary of the Class 11 Centralized Admission Process, confirmed that this year there will be no First Come, First Serve (FCFS) round for admissions.
The overall admission process has been robust, with 343 junior colleges offering 1,20,805 seats. So far, 68,686 students have been admitted through the centralized process, and an additional 9,246 students have been admitted through various quotas, bringing the total to 77,932 admissions.
However, a significant 42,873 seats remain vacant, with 35,385 available under the centralized process and 7,488 through quotas.
For those who have received allotments in this round, the admission process must be completed by September 25. High schools have been given until 8 PM to update the admission status of students online.
