Pune: GlobalGyan Leadership Academy has launched a Building Business Acumen development program with Elgi Equipments, a global air compressor manufacturer. This is part of ELGi’s strategic initiative to enhance the leadership and strategic capabilities of its managerial team.

In the first phase during 2024-25, GlobalGyan’s Strategic Business Acumen program will cover key managerial competencies, including strategic thinking, financial acumen, customer centricity, and market insights.

The four-month-long learning journey has been co-created by ELGi leaders and GlobalGyan faculty; it includes a mix of learning modes like in-person workshops, virtual sessions, self-paced learning, assignments, and assessments.

Over the rest of this year, the program will engage mid-level and mid-senior managers in several multi-functional cohorts. This diverse group composition will foster peer-to-peer learning and encourage the exchange of best practices across different levels of experience.

Srinivasa Addepalli, CEO of GlobalGyan Leadership Academy, commented on the partnership, "We are thrilled to join hands with ELGi to develop the Business Acumen capabilities of its managers, as the company seeks to grow its business leadership. It is an amazing investment being made by the leadership of ELGi, and we are honoured to have been selected to partner on this crucial development journey."

Nitesh Jain, Chief HR Officer of ELGi Equipments Limited, added, "Our team is committed to being ‘Always Better’, whether in terms of growth, profitability or quality. The ELGi Leadership Competency Model highlights the need for our colleagues to build their strategic thinking, global acumen, market insights, and customer centricity. We are happy to partner with GlobalGyan Leadership Academy in designing and delivering this important intervention."
