Pune: A dramatic and potentially disastrous incident occurred late Sunday night in the Hadapsar area of Pune, capturing the attention of social media users.
A video showing a four-wheeled vehicle belonging to the Pune Municipal Corporation’s road maintenance team speeding in reverse without a driver has gone viral, raising serious safety concerns.
The event took place on the Vaiduwadi flyover at around 11:45 PM. The vehicle, a tempo with "Pune Municipal Corporation" inscribed on it, was seen hurtling backward at high speed, without anyone in the driver’s seat.
The terrifying footage shows the empty vehicle creating a dangerous situation, which could have led to severe consequences.
Thankfully, due to the late hour, the roads were relatively empty, preventing what could have been a major tragedy. The tempo eventually came to a halt after crashing into a road divider, avoiding any significant damage or injury.
The exact cause of the vehicle's uncontrolled reverse movement in Hadapsar remains unknown.
