Pune: Hadapsar Police have apprehended a woman, who had escaped police custody related to a theft case, in the vicinity of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar.

The arrested woman has been identified as Dhurapta Ashok Bhosale (31), a resident of Takali, Taluka Sillod, District Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar).

The Hadapsar Police had launched an operation on July 3 during the Palkhi procession, targeting individuals involved in pickpocketing. During the operation, Bhosale was spotted and brought in for questioning at the Vishrambag Police Station.

She was then taken to Hadapsar police station for further investigation. It was during this scrutiny that police confirmed Bhosale's involvement in thefts cases.

The police conducted CCTV footage analysis from around Hadapsar, which led to the identification of Bhosale heading towards Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar in a rickshaw.

She was tracked to the bus stop area in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, where suspicions about her presence were raised. Following this, a police team was dispatched to apprehend Bhosale from Takali village.

Under the guidance of Police Commissioner R. Raja, Deputy Commissioner Ashwini Rakh, and Senior Inspectors Santosh Pandhare, Mangal Modhave, Umesh Gite, Assistant Inspectors Arjun Kudale, Mahesh Kavale, Sushil Lonkar, Sandeep Rathod, Sachin Jadhav, Jyotiba Pawar, Prashant Dudhal, Nikhil Pawar, and Prashant Tone, this operation was successfully executed.
