Pune: IAS Puja Khedkar, who has accused Pune District Collector Suhas Divase of harassment, has been summoned again by the Pune police after failing to appear for a previous summons.

The case, initially filed with Washim police, has been transferred to Pune police for further investigation.

Khedkar's complaint alleges harassment during her tenure as a trainee IAS officer at the Pune District Collector's office. Despite being summoned to provide her statement, Khedkar did not appear, prompting a second summons from the police.

Khedkar had lodged a harassment complaint with the Washim police. Since the incident took place in the District Collector's office in Pune, the Washim police handed over the complaint to the Pune police. The Pune police have now taken over the investigation.

While in training, Khedkar used a private luxury car with a red beacon and a Maharashtra government insignia. She also demanded a private room for meetings and hired personal attendants, revealing her extravagant behavior.

Complaints about Khedkar's conduct were made by officials at the District Collector’s office. District Collector Divase sent a report on Khedkar’s behavior to the state government, which subsequently transferred her to Washim. Following her transfer, Khedkar filed a harassment complaint against Divase with the Washim police.

Khedkar's training in Washim has been suspended from July 16. The Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration in Mussoorie, has ceased her training in Maharashtra.

Additional Chief Secretary Nitin Gadre issued orders for Khedkar to report to Mussoorie by July 23. Following these orders, the Washim district administration had relieved her from her duties.
