Pune: Manorama Khedkar, the mother of controversial IAS officer Puja Khedkar, threatened police officers who had come to take action for having an unauthorized red and yellow beacon on her private Audi car.

She warned them, "If you try to enter the gate, I will put all of you in jail." Various media representatives were also present at the scene, and Pooja’s mother aggressively approached them as well. This led to a prolonged argument between the police and Puja’s family over the proceedings.

Puja Khedkar, who passed the UPSC exam and made excessive demands during her training period at the Pune District Collector's office, is currently a hot topic nationwide. Both the Lal Bahadur Shastri Academy and even the Prime Minister's Office have taken note of her behavior.

During this incident, Puja’s mother, Manorama Khedkar, engaged in a heated argument with the police. She initially refused to let the officers enter the premises, warning them that they would be jailed if they tried to force their way in.

When asked about the police action on her car, Puja Khedkar stated, "I cannot comment on this matter, nor am I permitted to. Please refrain from asking me questions about it. I am currently in Washim and should be allowed to do my work."

Khedkar had made several controversial requests, including the use of a red beacon on private vehicles, government emblems, facilities befitting an IAS officer, a separate cabin, and an independent government bungalow, sparking widespread discussion.

Khedkar has also allegedly used a fake disability certificate to clear the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) exam and secure her government job.

It is alleged that Puja Khedkar presented a certificate indicating a vision impairment to clear the UPSC exam. The selection committee of the commission summoned her for medical examinations at Delhi's AIIMS hospital six times, but she repeatedly avoided these tests.
