Pune: Trainee IAS officer Puja Khedkar has leveled serious allegations against Pune District Collector Suhas Divase, accusing him of harassment. Khedkar has filed a complaint in Washim, and the Washim police are currently investigating the matter.
On Monday (July 15) night, a Washim police team conducted a three-hour discussion with Khedkar at a government guest house. While details of the discussion remain undisclosed, it has been confirmed that Khedkar lodged a harassment complaint against Divase.
Female officers from the Washim police have collected information from her, and an investigation is ongoing.
Khedkar began her training at the Pune District Collector's office on June 3 but was transferred to Washim after a month. During her tenure in Pune, she attracted attention for demanding a separate office and using a luxurious vehicle with red and blue lights, among other issues.
A 25-page report from the Pune District Collector's office was sent to the Additional Secretary, leading to her immediate transfer to Washim.
In a significant development, Khedkar's training in Washim has been suspended effective Tuesday (July 16). The Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration in Mussoorie, has ceased her training in Maharashtra.
Additional Chief Secretary Nitin Gadre issued orders for Khedkar to report to Mussoorie by July 23. Following these orders, the Washim district administration has relieved her from her duties. This development marks a significant setback for Khedkar.
Puja Khedkar allegedly used a fake disability certificate to clear the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) exam and secure her government job. It has been reported that Puja Khedkar presented a certificate indicating a vision impairment to clear the UPSC exam.
The selection committee of the commission summoned her for medical examinations at Delhi's AIIMS hospital six times, but she repeatedly avoided these tests.
