Pune: A detailed report on the misconduct of Indian Administrative Service (IAS) trainee Puja Khedkar during her training period will be sent by the state government to the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions (MoPPGP), and the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA).

This could lead to a re-examination of all documents submitted by Khedkar at the time of her selection, potentially increasing her difficulties.

After her appointment as a trainee officer at the Pune District Collector's office, District Collector Dr. Divase prepared and sent a detailed report on Khedkar's misconduct to the General Administration Department.

The report included details of her behavior during training and other related issues. Dr. Divase also recommended appropriate action and suggested her transfer to another district. Acting on this recommendation, the state government transferred Khedkar to Washim, where she reported for training on Thursday.

Khedkar was selected through the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) under the non-creamy layer and multiple disability categories. Despite UPSC's instructions, she missed six medical examinations.

Consequently, UPSC challenged her selection in the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT), which ruled against Khedkar. It was revealed that she was appointed as a civil servant based on an MRI certificate she obtained herself, claiming multiple disabilities.

Following the exposure of her misconduct at the District Collector's office, controversies arose over the documents she submitted during her appointment.

A senior administrative officer said that all related documents, along with the report prepared by the District Collector, would be sent to the Ministry of Personnel and the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration for further examination.

Re-examination of Documents

After being selected for the IAS by the UPSC, the candidate's documents are reviewed by the Personnel Ministry and then sent to the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration in Mussoorie for training, where another verification takes place.

Due to suspicions regarding Khedkar's documents, the officer stated that her submitted documents would undergo another review by both these offices following the District Collector's report.
