Pune: MLA Nitesh Rane has issued a warning to remove encroachments on the fort of Shrimant Malojiraje Bhosale, grandfather of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, in Indapur.

He threatened significant action if the encroachments are not removed within the stipulated timeframe. Rane called for the establishment of a Hindu nation and urged citizens to respect the saffron flag and chant "Vande Mataram."

A 'Hindu Jan Aakrosh Morcha' was organized in Indapur on Sunday (18th) to protest against the encroachment on the Shrimant Malojiraje fort. The march began from Ramves Naka and proceeded through the main market to the Khadakpura Ganapati Temple, where participants offered prayers.

The march then moved to the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and concluded at the municipal council ground, where Nitesh Rane addressed the gathering.

The protest led to heightened security in Indapur, with police detaining some Maratha community activists who attempted to confront the marchers. The protest also caused disruptions in the city, particularly affecting travelers during the Raksha Bandhan festival.

During his speech, Rane declared that no dargah will remain on the Shrimant Malojiraje fort and that only the legacy of Shrimant Malojiraje will be visible. He criticized those who opposed him and questioned why they did not resist the encroachment earlier.

Rane said that the time for religious harmony and brotherhood is over and insisted that those who wish to live in Hindustan must accept a Hindu nation, pay respect to the saffron flag, and chant 'Vande Mataram.'

Rane also warned the authorities to take action before the deadline given to local activist Bharat Jamdar, who is on a hunger strike. He cautioned the police not to forget that they are Hindus first and advised them to ignore any instructions from higher-ups to intervene in the protest.
