Pune: Social media and viral 'Reels' often put people’s lives at risk, but they can also create miracles. A recent heartwarming incident saw a young man from Mumbai finding his lost mother through a viral 'Reel' shot by Solapur-based photographer Shivaji Dhute.

Shivaji Dhute, a photographer who has been documenting the Ashadhi Wari from Solapur to Pandharpur for the past five years, captured a touching moment this year.

In Pandharpur, he noticed a young boy selling cloth to protect against the rain and filmed his efforts. The reel, once posted on social media, quickly went viral.

A Mumbai youth saw the reel on his friend's account and was shocked to recognize a woman in the video as his mother, who had gone missing recently.

The boy in the reel is seen approaching the woman for change, confirming her identity to the youth. He reached out to Dhute, found the location from the reel, and within two days, was reunited with his mother in Pandharpur.

This incident highlights the positive power of social media, reuniting a mother and her son through a viral 'Reel'.

Shivaji Dhute, who played a key role in this reunion, shared his feelings, saying, "I left my job in the IT field to pursue photography full-time. This incident feels like a reward from Pandurang."

Recently, a video of a young woman, identified as Meena Salunkhe, hanging precariously from a building while holding a young man's hand to create a reel had gone viral.

The duo, Meena Salunkhe and Mihir Gandhi shot the risky video on the roof of an abandoned building near the Katraj New Tunnel on the Pune-Bangalore Highway. Bharati Vidyapeeth police had filed charges against them.
