Pimpri-Chinchwad: The anti-extortion squad of the Pimpri-Chinchwad Crime Branch has arrested a gang leader and detained a minor who were involved in making Instagram reels while brandishing pistols, causing public terror. The incident took place on July 9th at 10 PM on a public road in Bhimshaktinagar, Chikhali.

Kunal Ramesh Sathe (26, resident of Morevasti, Chikhali) has been arrested, while his minor accomplice has been detained.

Criminal cases have been filed against Yash Kamble (resident of Tower Line, Chikhali), Sushil Gore alias Barkya (resident of Otaskeem, Nigdi), and Rohit Mishra under the Criminal Law Amendment Act and Maharashtra Police Act. These suspects are currently absconding. Police Officer Ashish Botke from the Anti-Extortion Squad has filed a complaint at the Chikhali Police Station.

Police action is being taken against individuals who spread terror by making reels with machetes and damaging vehicles and posting these videos on social media. The anti-extortion squad has detained two individuals who made Instagram reels with pistols to spread fear in the community and on social media.

Complainant Ashish Botke found a video on an Instagram account showing three individuals riding a bike, with the person seated at the back holding a pistol and waving it in the air to create terror. This video was uploaded to Instagram to spread fear. During the investigation, the police identified the bike's number from the video.

Using the bike number, the police identified the suspects. They detained a minor from the Chikhali area, who led them to Kunal Sathe, the bike rider, who was then arrested.

The suspects revealed that Yash Kamble, sitting behind, was waving the pistol to spread terror. Their other two accomplices made the video, which was posted by Rohit Mishra on his Instagram account maya_0043. The suspects have been handed over to the Chikhali Police for further investigation.
