IPS Milind Mohite, G Shreedhar Transferred in Maharashtra Police Department Shake-Up

Pune: In a major reshuffle within the Maharashtra Police Department, IPS G Shreedhar, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Special Branch) of Pune Police, has been transferred to the State Crime Investigation Department (CID) as Superintendent of Police.

In a corresponding move, Milind Mohite, who was serving as Superintendent of Police at the CID, has been appointed as the new Deputy Commissioner of Police in Pune City.

The reshuffle comes as part of a broader set of transfers announced by the state government, involving several senior officers. The changes are expected to strengthen the functioning of key departments within the state police force.

Key Transfers Include:

  • G Shreedhar: Previously serving as Deputy Commissioner of Police, Pune City, Shreedhar has been transferred to the Crime Investigation Department, Pune, as Superintendent of Police. His extensive experience in handling complex urban policing challenges is expected to benefit the CID.

  • Milind Mohite: Formerly the Superintendent of Police at the CID, Pune, Mohite will now serve as Deputy Commissioner of Police, Pune City. Known for his expertise in criminal investigations, Mohite’s appointment is anticipated to enhance the city’s policing strategy.

  • Sharda Raut: Raut, who was serving as Special Inspector General of Police for Coastal and Special Security under the State Intelligence Department in Mumbai, has been promoted to Joint Commissioner of the State Intelligence Department, Mumbai.

  • Abhaysingh Deshmukh: Deshmukh, previously the Superintendent of Police, Arms Inspection Branch, Pune, has been transferred to serve as Commandant of the State Reserve Police Force Group 13 in Gadchiroli, a region known for its challenging law and order situations.

  • Raj Gokul: Moving from his position as Commandant of the State Reserve Police Force Group 11 in Navi Mumbai, Gokul will now take up the role of Additional Superintendent of Police in Washim.

  • Singa Reddy Hrikesh Reddy: Formerly Additional Superintendent of Police at Aheri, Gadchiroli, Reddy has been appointed Commandant of the State Reserve Police Force Group 11, Navi Mumbai.

  • Shrenik Lodha: Shrenik Lodha, who was serving as Aide-de-Camp to the Governor of Maharashtra, has been appointed as Additional Superintendent of Police at Aheri, Gadchiroli, a strategic role that involves overseeing law enforcement in a sensitive area.
