According to Karnani, the attack was carried out by a group of local thugs, and he suspects they frequently target cars, especially those without local number plates. He described how two motorcycles and a gang of people in a car chased him and his family at a speed of 80 km/h, trying to stop them forcibly.

Despite the situation, Karnani alleges that the local police, who were patrolling the area, appeared to support the attackers rather than intervene.

When he did not comply, two individuals on a KTM bike attacked the car. Further along the road, more people joined the assault, causing significant damage to the vehicle. The mob used sticks, rods, and stones in the attack, creating a life-threatening situation for Karnani and his family.
