Pune: In a recent incident at Kondhwa Police Station, a female police constable was assaulted by a suspect in a non-cognizable case registered at the police station.
A case has been filed against a woman for obstructing government work. The complaint was lodged by Constable Sheetal Lakshman Jamdade (40). According to her complaint, a case has been registered against a woman named Sabia Iram Akram Khan.
According to police information, a complaint against Sabia Khan was filed by Naushin Faiyaz Sheikh. Due to a minor dispute, the police had registered a non-cognizable offense.
On the evening of July 22, around 8:30 PM, Sabia arrived at the Kondhwa police station. She began arguing with Police Sub-Inspector Balaji Digole, who was managing the operations of the police station.
Sabia allegedly threatened Digole by saying, "You are a tenth-grade police officer. Your salary is due to us. I am highly educated and will file a complaint against you with the Police Commissioner."
She started causing a commotion at the police station. Sabia Khan tore a page from the police station's crime register. When Jamdade attempted to calm her down, she slapped her.
Sabia then threatened, "Get out of the police station. I will deal with you later." A case has been filed against Sabia Khan for obstructing government work, and Police Sub-Inspector Snehal Jadhav is investigating the matter.
On July 7. a drunk biker identified as Sanjay Fakirba Salve (32), has been charged with attempted murder and obstructing government work.
Salve, who was found to be intoxicated, had snatched the e-challan machine from the police. When resisted, he poured petrol from a bottle onto police officers on duty, attempting to ignite it with a lighter.
