The incident took place around 10:30 AM near pillar number 19 on the bridge. The two luxury car drivers, racing against each other, lost control and collided with the taxi, causing it to overturn.

Worli police officers responded quickly to the scene, seizing both the BMW and Mercedes involved in the crash. The drivers were arrested and charged with reckless driving, engaging in illegal street racing, and culpable homicide, as they endangered lives with their actions.

Police reported that the passengers, though injured, were rushed to the hospital and are receiving treatment for their injuries. Initial reports indicate that there were no fatalities, and the family is expected to recover.
