Latur: With rising threat in the spread of COVID-19, the district administration in Latur has decided to enforce Janata Curfew on February 27 (Saturday) and 28 (Sunday).
Prithviraj BP, District Collector of Latur appealed people to observe the Janata Curfew to break the chain of the virus and requested them not leave their homes this weekend. Only essential services will remain operational during the Janata Curfew.
The situation in Latur district is under control and there is nothing to panic. The administration is ready to handle the situation but to curtail the spread of the infection, people are requested to avoid stepping out, except for essential services, on Saturday and Sunday.
NIGHT CURFEW IN SOLAPUR
With a sudden surge in spread of COVID-19, a night curfew has been imposed Solapur district from Thursday. The night curfew will be enforced from February 25 and will remain function till March 7. The Pune division which covers Solapur and Satara districts, besides Pune reported a rise of 1,811 new COVID-19 cases.
Meanwhile, 8,807 cases were reported in Maharashtra on Wednesday. Only 2,772 patients were discharged in a single day. Total 20,08,623 patients in the state are discharged from the hospitals. However, total active patients’ caseload currently stands at 59,358. The patient recovery rate in the state is 94.70 per cent, according Health Ministry.
