Mumbai: Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray-led state government in Maharashtra on Wednesday declared the Unlock 5.0 guidelines as part of ‘Mission Begin Again'. Amid coronavirus cases in Maharashtra, the government decided to extend the lockdown in the state till October 31 with multiple relaxations outside containment zones.
Directing to ease the stream of activities, the government has permitted hotels, food courts, restaurants and bars to run from October 5 with 50 percent seating capacity. Separate Standing Operating Procedures (SOP) shall be shared by the Tourism department for the essential provisions that the establishments need to undertake. Also, the local train services in Pune region has been allowed to restart. The state government chalked out a set of guidelines including relaxations.
WHAT’S ALLOWED
· Hotels, food courts, restaurants, bars will be allowed to function from October 5 with a maximum of 50 per cent seating capacity.
· Dabbawallas (Tiffin providers in Mumbai) can travel in local trains after acquiring QR codes from the Mumbai Police Commissioner's Office.
· All industrial and manufacturing units producing non- essential items to function.
· Local train services to resume in Pune region.
Apart from these, all the activities already allowed according to earlier orders will continue.
WHAT’S NOT ALLOWED
· Metro rail and international flights, except for Vande Bharat Mission.
· All educational institutes will be remain shut until October 31, 2020. It includes schools, colleges, educational institutes and coaching centres.
· All large congregations including social, political, sports, entertainment, cultural and religious functions.
· All cinema halls, swimming pools, entertainment parks, theatres, auditoriums and gyms.
· Religious places for devotees.
