MUMBAI: Fashion design expert Nivedita Saboo advised youths that modern fashion should be sensible to conserve our culture and environment. She was addressing the YIN Talk organised by Young Inspirator’s Network (YIN) at NMIMS Mukesh Patel Hall in Mumbai on Tuesday. Nivedita and animation expert E Suresh shared their business secrets with the youths. It was third programme of YIN after Nashik and Kolhapur.

Nivedita further said that fashion design should be eco-friendly and there should not be exploitation in the industry. “The youths aspiring to do business have to be careful while setting up their business as the business should be responsible,” she said.

“While inventing fashion, use of chemicals should be less and use of natural resources should be more. There should be traditional folk arts and it should be replicated in the modern fashion. It will help to conserve our traditional art,” she said.

“While introducing the traditional art in the modern art, the origin of the art should not be changed. More and more youths should have to come forward in this field,” she added.

While talking about animation, E Suresh said, “In animated films, the poor people should not be hated.

Dr Sharad Mhaiskar, Vice Chancellor NMIMS, appreciated the initiatives of YIN. “YIN’s programmes help youths to understand modern India,” he said.
