Parbhani: The fuel prices in the country are touching the sky and are in no mood to decrease it all. The rate of petrol with additives jumped to Rs 100 mark per litre in Parbhani district of Maharashtra on Sunday.

After a 28 paise rise on Sunday, the per-litre rate of petrol with additives for sale hovered Rs 100. "The rates of petrol with additives in Parbhani has reached to 100.16 rupees for one litre. The cost of unleaded petrol is 97.38 here." The cost of petrol in Parbhani is one of the costliest in Maharashtra”, PTI quoted Amol Bhedsurkar, President, Parbhani District Petrol Dealers' Association.

According to reports fuel in Parbhani is delivered from Nashik’s Manmad, which is at a distance of 340 km. He added, “We need Rs 3,000 extra for every tanker if prices go up by 10 paise. Hence, the investment in buying fuel has also gone up.”

THREE DIGIT PRICE NOT AVAILABLE ON MACHINE

State-run Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) on Monday (February 15) hiked the retail prices of petrol and diesel prices for the seventh successive day around the country. The Extra Premium Petrol crossed the mark of Rs 100 in Bhopal as it also gave a new tension among the old petrol pumps. Many petrol pumps in Madhya Pradesh’s capital city Bhopal do not have the latest digital fuel machines. Thus, the three-digit price (Rs 100) is unable to display. Therefore, many petrol pumps here have decided to close as a precaution. Owners of petrol pumps here are now updating the machine.
