Pune: Maratha agitation leader Manoj Jarange Patil has once again taken a strong stance against Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, accusing him of attempting to entangle him in legal issues.

"Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis dreams of entrapping me in legal troubles. But I will never let that dream come true," declared Patil on Friday (August 2).

Jarange Patil appeared at the Shivajinagar court after a non-bailable arrest warrant was issued in connection with a fraud case registered at Kothrud police station. The court has since cancelled the warrant and instructed Patil to attend the next hearing.

"I am here in an ambulance due to the effects of my hunger strike. I have immense respect for the Constitution and the judiciary, and I won't comment on the court's decision at this moment," said Patil.

Despite his health issues, Patil managed to conduct a meeting with activists about the upcoming assembly elections. He emphasized that his health was secondary to the well-being of the youth in his community.

"It doesn't matter if I travel in an ambulance or another vehicle for my community. My Maharashtra tour will be completed between August 7 and 13. Regardless of my physical condition, I will not rest until the Maratha community receives OBC reservation," he stated.

Patil dismissed the need for a third front in the upcoming assembly elections, focusing instead on delivering justice to the community and fighting for the poor.

Regarding his respect for Prakash Ambedkar, President of Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi, Patil said, "We respect and will continue to respect Prakash Ambedkar, who has launched the OBC Reservation Protection March. It is their right to criticize or not.

We hope they will fight on our behalf. OBCs are not our enemies. I have never spoken against the Dalits and Adivasis in rural areas. OBC leader Chhagan Bhujbal is the one causing trouble for OBCs."
