Pune: In connection with a land dispute in Mulshi Taluka, where farmers were allegedly threatened with a gun and an attempt was made on their lives, the court has granted anticipatory bail to Dilip Khedkar.
He, along with Manorama Khedkar, faces charges in this case. The bail was granted on a surety of thirty thousand rupees, while the bail application for Manorama Khedkar will be heard on Monday.
The order was issued by Additional Sessions Judge Ajit Mare, who imposed several conditions on Dilip Khedkar, including no contact with the complainants or witnesses, cooperation with the investigation, and submission of permanent addresses and mobile numbers of himself and two close relatives within seven days.
Accused of Threatening Farmers with a Gun
A video went viral alleging that Manorama Khedkar threatened farmers with a pistol over a land dispute in Dhadwali village, Mulshi Taluka.
In this case, a complaint was filed at Paud police station against Manorama, her husband Dilip Khedkar, Ambadas Khedkar, and two male and two female bouncers for assaulting, abusing, and threatening to kill a farmer.
Dilip Khedkar Granted Conditional Anticipatory Bail
Pandharinath Kondiba Pasalkar (aged 65, resident of Kedgaon, Daund), a farmer, filed the complaint against them at Paud police station. In this case, Manorama Khedkar applied for bail, while Dilip Khedkar applied for anticipatory bail through Adv. Sudhir Shah.
The hearing took place in court on Friday. Considering the arguments made by Adv. Sudhir Shah, the court granted conditional anticipatory bail to Dilip Khedkar.
