Pune: A minor boy from Pune, who had left his home in anger four and a half months ago, was successfully found and taken into custody from Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh.
The Pune police had been conducting a thorough search for the boy, but when efforts to locate him proved unsuccessful, Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar announced a reward of five lakh rupees for information leading to his recovery.
The boy's photograph was circulated to various states, and the breakthrough came when Swargate investigation team’s Police Sub-Inspector Ashok Yewale received a tip-off that the boy had been seen at the Jabalpur railway station.
He promptly informed Deputy Commissioner of Police for Zone Two, Smartana Patil. An immediate operation was launched, and the Swargate police team was dispatched to Jabalpur.
Working in coordination with the local police, they were able to take the boy into custody and safely return him to his parents. In recognition of their outstanding work, Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar has awarded the Swargate investigation team five lakh rupees.
The successful operation was conducted under the leadership of Additional Police Commissioner Praveen Patil, Deputy Commissioner of Police Smartana Patil, and Assistant Police Commissioner Nandini Waghyani, with Senior Inspector Dashrath Patil from Bharti Vidyapeeth police station directing the investigation team comprised of Sub-Inspector Ashok Yewale and police personnel Firoz Shaikh and Harshal Shinde.
Pune Police have appealed to citizens, parents to keep a close watch on their child's activities and be in communication with them regularly.
