Pune: MIT World Peace University (MIT-WPU) is gearing up to host the third edition of its RIDE Innovation Conclave 2024, a five-day event that will spotlight research, innovation, design, and entrepreneurship.
The conclave, organized by MIT-WPU’s Innovation Hub, will take place from August 20 to 24 at the Swami Vivekananda Auditorium in Kothrud, Pune.
The event will kick off on August 20 with an inaugural address by Prakash Bang, a renowned entrepreneur, author, marketing strategist, and business consultant.
The closing ceremony, scheduled for August 24, will feature Padma Shri Anil Gupta, founder of the Honey Bee Network, as the chief guest. Other notable attendees include Pinky Rajpal, Chairperson of FICCI FLO Pune Chapter, and author Rajyalakshmi Rao, who will participate as special guests.
According to Prof. Dr. Neeraj Mahindroo, Dean of the School of Health Sciences and Technology at MIT-WPU, the theme of this year’s conclave is centered around fostering innovation and entrepreneurship across multiple disciplines, including technology, healthcare, sustainable energy, and retail.
The RIDE Innovation Conclave 2024 is expected to attract thousands of students, with participation from over 100 startups and more than 50 experts from the venture capital industry.
Each day will feature discussions led by industry experts who will offer students unique insights and encourage innovative thinking through real-world scenario simulations.
The primary objective of the conclave is to build a robust startup ecosystem within MIT-WPU and to equip students with the skills needed to take a business idea from inception to market launch.
In previous editions, the RIDE platform has hosted prominent speakers such as Padma Vibhushan Dr. Raghunath Mashelkar, Namita Thapar, and Prabhdeep Singh, who have shared their entrepreneurial journeys and inspired students to embrace innovation.
