In May, Pathare informed his parents that he had secured a job in the ministry. Excited by the news, his parents traveled to Mumbai to meet him, only to find his phone switched off upon their arrival.

Following this incident, Pathare's father filed a missing persons report at the Vishrambaug police station in Pune.

A few days ago, Pathare's parents received a WhatsApp message from his phone, in which he mentioned being in a state of depression. The police are investigating the case, exploring possibilities such as Pathare being in contact with someone, involvement in disputes, or financial transactions.
