Pune: The Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) has announced the merit list for the Police Sub-Inspector (PSI) post under the Maharashtra Subordinate Services Group B Main Examination 2022.

Amol Ghatukade from Divad in Satara district has secured the first rank in the state. Eknath Arjun Lathe and Avinash Jalindar Aware have secured the second and third positions, respectively.

The MPSC provided this information through a press release. The general merit list was announced for the remaining 599 posts, with four positions reserved.

MPSC Combined Group B exam is held for the posts of Assistant Section Officer, State Tax Inspector, Secondary Registrar, and Police Sub Inspector.

The merit list has been prepared considering various claims made by the candidates in their applications. Before the final result, some candidates' claims and recommendations may change after verification.

Candidates who applied under the sportsperson and orphan categories have been temporarily included in the merit list, subject to verification of their certificates by authorized officers.

After the verification of certificates for candidates in the sportsperson and orphan categories, a provisional selection list and an opt-out option will be provided for these categories in the recruitment process.

Recommendations based on the final merit list, considering opting out and reservations, will be made. The related merit list is subject to judicial decisions in various cases filed in courts and tribunals. It has been clarified that the list may change due to judicial orders.
