Pune: In commemoration of Engineer's Day, Maharashtra State Power Generation Company (MSPGCL - MahaGenCo) held a state-level technical paper presentation competition that witnessed participation from 200 engineers spanning junior to executive levels.
Out of these submissions, 30 papers were shortlisted, with the top 10 presenters receiving recognition for their exemplary work.
The event featured esteemed dignitaries including Dr. P. Anbalagan, Chairman and Managing Director of MSPGCL, along with other notable figures such as Balasaheb Thite, Sanjay Marudkar, Abhay Harane, Dr. Dhananjay Sawalkar, and Rajesh Patil, who graced the stage as attendees.
Highlighting the significance of the event, a book compiling the 30 technical papers was launched, showcasing the innovative research and insights shared by the participants.
The Khaperkheda Thermal Power Station was honored as the Best Thermal Power Station, while other facilities like the Paras Thermal Power Station, Chandrapur Mega Thermal Power Station, and Parli Thermal Power Station also received accolades for their contributions.
Individual recognition was given to the shift heads of the Pinnacle Award winners, acknowledging their outstanding leadership.
The Best Performance Award was presented to several engineers, including Sunil Sonpetkar, Sunil Dandvate, Renukadas Kulkarni, Shailendra Padvi, Saurabh Kulkarni, Mahesh Joshi, Samir Deulkar, and Yogendra Patil, for their exceptional contributions to the industry.
The event was hosted by Sonali Pagare, Vaishnavi Wanjalkar, and Roshan Dudhe, adding to the celebration of engineering excellence.
