Pune: The controversy surrounding trainee IAS officer Puja Khedkar has now extended to her parents. A case has been registered against her mother, Manorama Khedkar, and father, Dilip Khedkar, at Paud Police Station.

Two days ago, a video surfaced showing Manorama Khedkar brandishing a gun and threatening a farmer. Consequently, a case has been filed against her. The allegations include threatening, assaulting, abusing, issuing death threats, and pointing a gun at farmers over a land dispute.

The viral video is reportedly old, dating back to June 5, 2023. It resurfaced amidst the ongoing controversy involving IAS officer Puja Khedkar. Following the video's circulation, a complaint was lodged by farmer Pandharinath Kondaba Pasalkar.

The complaint named Manorama, Dilip Khedkar, two women, two men, and two hired goons. The incident occurred in Mulshi, where Manorama Khedkar allegedly pointed a gun at the farmer during a land dispute.

Initially, the farmer did not file a complaint out of fear, but the video's virality and the spotlight on Puja Khedkar's allegations gave him the courage to come forward.

Meanwhile, Puja Khedkar is already in hot water. She faces accusations of using a private car with a red beacon and the Maharashtra government emblem during her training period, as well as making unauthorized requests for office space, peons, and accommodation.

Additionally, it has been revealed that she benefited from an OBC non-creamy layer certificate. Despite her father's annual income being 49 lakhs, she allegedly took advantage of the non-creamy layer certificate, which has an income limit of 8 lakhs.

Puja Khedkar presented a certificate indicating a vision impairment to clear the UPSC exam. The selection committee of the commission summoned her for medical examinations at Delhi's AIIMS hospital six times, but she repeatedly avoided these tests.
