Mumbai: Man Dies After Filing Complaint at Jogeshwari Police Station

Mumbai: A 28-year-old man named Deepak Jadhav died under suspicious circumstances while filing a complaint at the Jogeshwari Police Station in Mumbai. The incident has raised serious questions as Deepak’s sister has accused the police of beating him, leading to his death.

Deepak worked in the catering business and had employed several workers. A dispute arose between him and his employees over unpaid wages.

To resolve the issue, Deepak visited the Jogeshwari Police Station to file a complaint. However, later that night, his sister alleged that Deepak was assaulted by the police, which caused his death.

After the incident, the police conducted a formal investigation and sent the body to Cooper Hospital for a post-mortem. Deepak’s family has accused the police of lacking transparency in the investigation. The family is demanding a full investigation into the incident and justice for Deepak.

In response to the allegations, Jogeshwari Police Station denied the claims, calling it an accident. The police stated that the actual cause of death will be revealed after the investigation.

Despite this, Deepak’s family remains unsatisfied with the police's response, insisting that proper action be taken.

Recently in Pune, a 47-year-old man arrested on theft charges, passed away while receiving medical treatment after fainting in the custody of Vishrambaug Police Station.

The incident, which occurred on August 9, has prompted the transfer of the investigation to the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID). The deceased was identified as Sachin Ashok Gaikwad (aged 47, resident of Mundhwa).
