Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani has tested positive for Covid-19 on Monday.
Rupani, who was campaigning for the Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) election, fell unconscious and fainted on the stage while addressing a rally on Sunday.
He was immediately rushed to the UN Mehta Hospital in Ahemdabad from Vadodara airport.

"His condition is stable. All his medical check-up reports including EGC and CT scan are normal. There is nothing to worry about. He will be kept at the hospital for 24 hours just for observation," Dr RK Patel said on Sunday.
However RT-PCR test report received on Monday showed Rupani to be positive for the coronavirus.
Rupani's sample was collected on Sunday night and sent for RT-PCR test which has come out positive for coronavirus, said a health bulletin issued by the hospital on Monday.
