It is important for all to undergo a test and if he or she passes through the test, the person gets the official license. Now what if we tell you that you don’t need to undergo a test to obtain a driving license? Yes, you read it right.
Nitin Gadkari, Minister of Road Transport and Highways has planned rules that will allow the setting up of Accredited Driver Training Centres around India. These centres will be enough to secure a license from the state transport authorities. If one completes his training provided by these test centres then the person will not have to perform a driving test to get a driver's license issued.
The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways have declared a draft notice looking for accreditation of driving training centres to help people get ‘quality training’. According to the notification shared on the website of the ministry, anyone who takes training from such accredited driving centres shall be released from undergoing a driving test while applying for a driver's license.
The Centre has also sought feedback on the planned rules from the public for the next 30 days on the draft notification.
