Pune: The two factions of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) have found themselves at odds as a war of words erupts between the women’s state presidents.

The clash began when Rupali Chakankar, the women’s state president of the Ajit Pawar faction, criticized Supriya Sule, the MP from the Sharad Pawar faction. This prompted a sharp retort from Rohini Khadse, the women’s state president from the Sharad Pawar faction.

Rohini Khadse defended Supriya Sule by challenging Chakankar’s qualifications, suggesting that she should first prove herself as a councillor before aspiring to higher political roles.

Khadse pointed out that Chakankar owes her political identity to Supriya Sule, who played a crucial role in her career by securing her positions such as in the State Women’s Commission.

In her criticism of Rohini Khadse, Rupali Chakankar responded, "Without any achievements of her own, she has secured a position in politics solely on her father's name. She has no right to criticize. She joined the NCP by claiming to possess a CD, but that CD has never surfaced."

Khadse Campaigned for BJP

Chakankar further accused, "Even though her father was a member of the Legislative Council, there were talks of her joining the BJP from the Sharad Pawar faction.

This shows the mentality and intelligence of those who betray their own party and criticize others. Instead of campaigning for the Lok Sabha elections, Rohini Khadse only campaigned for the BJP."

What Did Chakankar Say About Sule?

Chakankar had previously criticized Supriya Sule, saying, "Supriya Sule, who hasn’t spoken a single word about the victim in Uran, tries to stay in the limelight every day by making statements against Ajit Dada. The narrative she tried to set in the Lok Sabha has now been dismantled.

She has her eyes on the Assembly, dreaming of becoming the Chief Minister. Her attempts to gain media attention by making such statements are pitiful."
