To ensure the safety and well-being of the large crowds expected to participate in the event, an intensive care unit (ICU) has been set up at the Shreemant Dagdusheth Halwai Mandal Trust temple, in association with the health departments of the municipal and state governments.
The ICU, with three beds, will be manned by an anesthesiologist, three medical officers, four nurses, and support staff working in shifts. This facility will remain operational throughout the procession, providing immediate medical assistance to devotees in need. Essential medical supplies will also be on hand.
In addition, private hospitals and the Shreemant Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati Trust will also offer medical services during the event. The procession route will feature teams of doctors and ambulances stationed at key locations to ensure quick responses to emergencies.
Ambulances will be strategically located at Belbaug Chowk, Lokmanya Tilak Chowk (near Alka Talkies), S.P. College Chowk, and Puram Chowk. Emergency medical aid centers have been established at Gokhale Hall (Laxmi Road), Sweet Home (Kumthekar Road), Narayan Peth Police Chowki (Kelkar Road), and S.P. College Chowk (Tilak Road) to provide further support.
For added security, the Pune Police’s Vighnaharta Nyas has deployed ambulances and medical teams along the procession route to offer prompt assistance if needed. Trustee Dr. Milind Bhoi emphasized that these services are intended to ensure the safety of all participants and to address any medical emergencies that may arise during the festivities.
