Pune: With the Assembly elections scheduled for November 20, Dr. Suhas Divase, District Collector and District Election Officer, has urged citizens who have turned 18 to register their names in the voter list to ensure they can exercise their right to vote.
Dr. Divase emphasized the importance of verifying one's name in the voter list and noted that eligible citizens still have time until October 19 to register if their names are not already included.
Voter registration can be completed both online and offline. The Election Commission’s Voter Helpline App provides a convenient option for citizens to register from their homes.
Applicants need to provide proof of age and residence to complete the process. Dr. Divase encouraged those who have not yet registered to do so promptly.
To verify if their name is included in the voter list, citizens can visit https://electoralsearch.eci.gov.in. If their name is missing, they must fill out Form 6 and submit it to the Booth Level Officer (BLO) at their respective polling stations before the deadline.
