Pune: In anticipation of the arrival of the Palkhis (palanquins) of Sant Tukaram Maharaj and Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj in Pune city, the Pune Police have issued a notice to Sambhaji Bhide Guruji.
Bhide, the founder of Shri Shivpratishthan Hindustan organization, annually participates in the procession along with numerous followers.
Historically, there have been conflicts among the a group of devotees and followers during the procession. To prevent any disturbances, the police have taken preemptive measures by issuing the notice to Bhide.
The notice urges him to ensure that there is no disruption of law and order during the Sant Tukaram Maharaj Palkhi procession. Furthermore, he has been advised to refrain from making inflammatory speeches that could incite tensions among the participants.
Bhide arrived at Jangli Maharaj road area in Shivajinagar, accompanied by a large number of followers, ahead of the procession. The police are focused on maintaining peace and order during the event, aiming to prevent any incidents that might arise from contentious interactions.
