Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation’s (PCMC) Citizen Facilitation Centres (CFC) have successfully issued 36,538 certificates to citizens between April 1, 2024, and September 23, 2024.
This initiative, launched to simplify access to public services and reduce bureaucratic hurdles, has garnered widespread positive feedback from the community.
Additional Commissioner Chandrakant Indalkar highlighted that the CFCs provide a wide range of services, from crucial certificates to essential permits, all through an easy-to-use online application system.
Documents such as the 7/12 land extracts, residence certificates, and caste certificates can be obtained without citizens needing to stand in long queues or repeatedly visit the municipal offices, thus saving valuable time.
The PCMC has established 94 CFCs across the city, which have been enthusiastically embraced by the public. Citizens can now conveniently apply for and receive various certificates, including tenant registrations, fire attendance certificates, LPG permits, hotel and hospital licenses, building NOCs, and even marriage registration certificates.
Over the five-month period, services rendered through these centers generated a strong response, benefiting a large number of citizens who required documents ranging from business licenses to property-related permits.
The ability to access such a broad spectrum of services, including renewals of hospital and hotel permits, NOCs for petrol pumps and drainage construction, and building plan approvals, has significantly improved the ease of doing business and personal administration for residents.
Indalkar also mentioned that the CFCs will continue to operate with the same efficiency, ensuring that citizens have uninterrupted access to the services they need.
