Pimpri Woman Forced into Prostitution by Husband, Stepfather-in-Law

Pune: In a deeply disturbing case, a 32-year-old married woman has alleged that her husband and stepfather-in-law forced her into prostitution over a span of more than two years.

The harrowing ordeal began in March 2022 and continued until September 2024 in the Kasarwadi area of Pimpri-Chinchwad. The case was registered after the woman lodged a complaint at the Bhosari Police Station on September 20, 2024.

According to the police, the victim's husband and stepfather-in-law pressured her into downloading a mobile application. Through this app, potential clients contacted the victim, and she was subsequently forced into prostitution by the accused.

The income generated from this illegal activity was used by the accused for their personal gain and household expenses.

When the victim objected and attempted to resist, she was physically assaulted. Furthermore, it has been alleged that the stepfather-in-law repeatedly subjected the woman to sexual abuse against her will.

The victim has stated that her stepfather-in-law took advantage of her vulnerability, committing these heinous acts over a prolonged period.
