MCOCA Accused Suraj Mohite Nabbed

Pune: The Hadapsar police have successfully apprehended a notorious gang leader, Suraj alias "Chus" Balu Mohite, who had been on the run for 10 months following a series of violent incidents.

Mohite, aged 22, had been evading arrest after the police initiated action under the Maharashtra Control of Organized Crime Act (MCOCA) earlier this year.

The gang, led by Mohite, was involved in a retaliatory attack in Vaiduwadi, where a group of 15 individuals vandalized homes, vehicles, and shops.

While nine of the gang members were swiftly arrested and five minors were taken into custody, Mohite had managed to escape, eluding police efforts for months.
