Pune: For residents of Pimpri-Chinchwad, commuting to Pune has become more convenient with the introduction of metro feeder bus services by the Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML).

These feeder buses have been strategically deployed to connect various parts of Pimpri-Chinchwad to key metro stations, providing a seamless link to the Pune Metro and making daily travel smoother for the region's residents.

Currently, the metro service from Pimpri-Chinchwad to Pune is a popular choice among commuters, including office-goers, students, and others who benefit from a quick and hassle-free journey.

To enhance accessibility to metro stations, PMPML has launched nine feeder buses across Pimpri-Chinchwad, allowing residents to reach metro stations such as Pimpri, Sant Tukaram Nagar, Nashik Phata, and others without the need for private transport.

Feeder Bus Routes for Pimpri-Chinchwad Residents:

Nigdi to Nashik Phata Metro Station:

Starting from Nigdi depot, this feeder bus travels through Nigdi, Akurdi, Chinchwad, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Chowk in Pimpri, Nehrunagar, and finally reaches Nashik Phata. This route serves a significant number of commuters, especially those from Nigdi and Akurdi.

Bhosari to Nashik Phata Metro Station:

Two feeder buses operate from Bhosari depot. One route begins at the PM Awas Yojana in Sector 12, Bhosari, and passes through Landewadi, YCM, Vallabhnagar, before reaching Nashik Phata. This route is particularly beneficial for residents in the Bhosari area.

Dighi to Pimpri Metro Station:

Another important route starts from Dighi, passing through Bhosari, Landewadi, YCM, Nehrunagar, and terminating at Pimpri Metro Station. This feeder bus service is a boon for those living in Dighi and nearby areas who need to access the metro.

The introduction of these feeder buses has made the daily commute much easier for Pimpri-Chinchwad residents, eliminating the need to navigate through traffic or find parking near metro stations.

Passengers appreciate the convenience of a direct connection to the metro, with many preferring this option over other modes of transport.

However, commuters like Vikas Pagire from Chikhali, who regularly uses the feeder bus to reach Pimpri Metro Station, have suggested increasing the number or frequency of these buses to accommodate the growing demand.

The feeder service has become a lifeline for many, and there is a call for further expansion to ensure more residents can benefit from this convenient public transport link.
