Pune: The Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) has received an encouraging response to its affordable housing lottery for remaining flats in Peth No. 12 and Peth Nos. 30-32.
A total of 1,932 individuals have completed preliminary registrations through the online portal for the lottery, which includes 1,337 flats across two locations under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) and affordable housing scheme.
The PMRDA is offering 47 flats in the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) category and 614 flats in the Low-Income Group (LIG) category in Peth No. 12 under PMAY.
Additionally, 347 affordable housing flats and 329 LIG flats are available in Peth Nos. 30-32.
The EWS units in Peth No. 12 under PMAY measure 29.55 square meters and are priced at ₹15,74,424, while the LIG flats have a size of 59.27 square meters, priced at ₹35,57,200.
For affordable housing in Peth Nos. 30-32, the flats measure 25.52 square meters, priced at ₹20,90,771, and LIG flats are 34.57 square meters, priced at ₹28,32,208.
According to PMRDA, 1,932 people have registered on the online platform, with 299 completing applications and 218 submitting the required security deposit, with their applications now under review by PMRDA.
Some applications remain incomplete due to missing documentation, but these applicants have successfully registered. The deadline for applications for affordable housing units is November 12.
PMRDA has been actively monitoring the process to ensure that applicants face no difficulties, providing regular updates on registration progress. The smooth handling of the process and the positive response from residents have offered relief to the officials overseeing the program.
