Pune: Poona Hospital and Research Center marked the auspicious occasion of Dussehra by inaugurating the Department of Homeopathy and a new Ayurveda Outpatient Department (OPD).
The ceremony took place with the esteemed presence of Professor Dr. Bhushan Patwardhan, a National Research Professor in AYUSH from Savitribai Phule Pune University.
The newly established Homeopathy department is set to provide homeopathic consultations and treatments led by experienced doctors, aiming to enhance the healthcare services available at the hospital.
Additionally, the Ayurveda OPD will offer expert Ayurvedic consultations and treatments, rooted in ancient Ayurvedic principles, to improve the health and well-being of patients.
During the inauguration, Devi Chand Jain, the chairman of Poona Hospital, honored Dr. Bhushan Patwardhan for his contributions. Managing Trustee Rajkumar Chordia delivered the introductory remarks, highlighting the significance of integrating alternative medicine into mainstream healthcare.
Dr. Patwardhan expressed his views on the initiative, stating, "By establishing the Ayurveda department alongside other medical services, Poona Hospital has set a new benchmark in healthcare. These traditional healthcare systems will provide substantial benefits to patients seeking holistic treatment options."
The inauguration event was also attended by several prominent figures, including Joint Managing Trustee Purushottam Lohia, Trustees Rajesh Shah, Nainesh Nandu, Sujay Shah, and Chief Executive Officer Dr. Ravindranath, all of whom echoed the importance of this development in expanding the hospital's service offerings.
