Pune: Dr. Shrihari Halnor, implicated in the Kalyaninagar Porsche car accident case, allegedly entrusted ₹2.5 lakh in cash to a medical college student after receiving the money for tampering with a blood sample.

The hearing, presided over by Special Judge U. M. Mudholkar, focused on the details of the Porsche accident, where a minor's blood sample was allegedly swapped to protect him from charges of being under the influence during the incident.

Dr. Halnor reportedly handed over the cash to a student from B.J. Medical College, instructing the student to keep it safe, claiming he would retrieve it in 15 days. Despite the student’s concerns, Dr. Halnor assured him that there was no wrongdoing involved.

Dr. Ajay Taware, Dr. Shrihari Halnor, Vishal Agrawal, Shivani Agrawal, Amar Gaikwad, and Ashfaq Makandar are currently detained at Yerawada Jail, accused of destroying evidence by altering the minor's blood samples.

They have applied for bail, with Advocate Shishir Hiray representing the government’s case, assisted by Advocate Sarathi Pansare.

During the proceedings, Advocate Hire highlighted that eyewitnesses reported the minor was unable to stand when extracted from the Porsche after the accident. Yet, Dr. Halnor’s report falsely stated that the boy was not intoxicated.

CCTV footage from Sassoon Hospital also showed Dr. Halnor, the minor, Shivani Agrawal, her father, and a female witness together. It was later revealed that the blood sample provided was not the minor’s but rather that of a friend of Vishal Agrawal, who had a matching blood group.

Further evidence presented by a trainee doctor indicated that Dr. Halnor directed her to draw blood from the boy’s mother, and another doctor followed his instructions to substitute the minor's blood sample with that of another person.

The entire swap was allegedly orchestrated under the direction of Dr. Taware and Vishal Agrawal.
