Pune Book Festival from December 14 to 22
Pune: After the huge success of the 'Pune Book Festival' organised by the National Book Trust last year, the festival is being organised for Puneites this year. The festival will be held on the campus of Fergusson College from December 14 to 22.
The festival will feature book galleries in different languages, diverse programmes for everyone from children to adults and the presence of many dignitaries from different fields, said Rajesh Pandey, president of the National Book Trust Milind Marathe and Director of the National Book Trust Yuvraj Malik at a press conference on Wednesday.

Marathi language has been given the status of a classical language and in this context, various aspects of Marathi literature will be revealed to Puneites in an innovative way in this year's festival.
There will be various sessions focusing on literature, including the opening and closing sessions, Pandey said. There will be a cultural programme at the festival and Puneites will also be able to experience maharashtra's food fair.
The festival has been organised by Puneites for Puneites and innovative ideas like various competitions, selfie points, writer signature katta will also be implemented, Marathe said.
Three-day literary festival
As many as 700 stalls have been registered for the festival and we are trying to accommodate another 200 stall owners. The festival will have a variety of events that will strengthen the reading culture and the highlight of the festival is the presence of writers from different languages from across the country.
