Pune: Fish prices have seen a hike due to rising customer demand, though the price of surmai fish has notably dropped by 10%, as per reports from local traders.
Chicken prices have also decreased by ₹10 per kilogram, while English eggs have become more expensive by ₹15 per hundred.
The fish market in Ganesh Peth recorded a substantial supply on Sunday, with 25 tons of deep-sea fish, 700 kg of creek fish, and 900 kg of river fish arriving.
An additional 25 tons of Rohu, Katla, and Silan fish arrived from Andhra Pradesh to meet the local demand.
