Pune police have solved the murder case of a young man in the Hadapsar area. The investigation has revealed that the victim, Amol alias Bhavdya Maruti Mane (39), was killed by his friends after he informed their families about their drug addiction.
The accused, Vaibhav Ganesh Labde (31) and Dnyaneshwar Dattu Sakat (27), both residents of Hadapsar, have been arrested and charged with the crime.
The incident occurred on Thursday (September 19), when Mane was discovered in a critical condition, lying in a pool of blood. Police were alerted and rushed Mane to a nearby hospital, but tragically, he was declared dead on arrival. The authorities immediately launched a detailed investigation to identify the perpetrators.
Using advanced technical methods, the police tracked down Labde and Sakat as the primary suspects. Upon their arrest, both men confessed to the murder.
During interrogation, it was revealed that Mane had informed their families—specifically the wife and mother of one of the accused—about their involvement in drug use. Enraged by this, the accused plotted and executed the murder of their friend in a brutal act of retaliation.
The case has highlighted the dangerous consequences of substance abuse and the devastating impact it can have on personal relationships. The police, under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner of Police R. Raja, acted swiftly to ensure justice.
Senior Police Inspector Santosh Pandhare, Police Inspector (Crime) Nilesh Jagdale, and Assistant Inspector Arjun Kudale, along with their team, played crucial roles in the investigation and arrest of the accused.
