Pune: A dispute over a delay in serving kebabs allegedly led to a violent incident at a popular eatery in Pune Cantonment area. The Lashkar Police have registered a case against the hotel owner and an employee after they allegedly assaulted a customer who had enquired about his delayed order.
The incident involved Zakir Hussain Pathan, 40, a resident of Kondhwa Budruk, who had visited Shahi Dawat Hotel to pick up an order of chicken kebabs.
Reportedly, when Pathan enquired about the delay, hotel owner Shahbaz Nawab Shaikh, 44, and his employee Mohammad Ayaz Shaikh, 24, reacted aggressively, verbally dismissing him and allegedly instructing staff to serve him quickly and deny him future entry to the restaurant.
This exchange led to an altercation, and Pathan was reportedly beaten and struck on the head with a hard object. Following the incident, Pathan registered a complaint with the Lashkar Police. Sub-Inspector Tarte has initiated an investigation.
Argument Over Food Plate
In a separate incident in Wakadewadi’s Narveer Tanajiwadi area, a disagreement escalated to an assault with a hammer. Sainath Bhugappa Byagri allegedly attacked Amit Bapu Jadhav, 38, following a dispute after Jadhav reportedly reached into Byagri’s food plate.
The incident occurred at a food stall, and Byagri allegedly attacked Jadhav with a hammer amid the altercation. Jadhav, who resides in PMC Colony, filed a complaint with the Shivajinagar Police. Assistant Police Inspector Daberao is leading the investigation into this case.
