Pune: The recently introduced Pune-Kolhapur-Hubballi Vande Bharat Express has garnered significant interest from passengers in just 20 days of operation. A total of 8,742 passengers have traveled on the train so far, contributing to a revenue of ₹90,17,063 for the Indian Railways.
The Vande Bharat Express offers two classes of service: Chair Car and Executive Class. For the Pune-Kolhapur route, the Chair Car fare is ₹880, while the Executive Class is priced at ₹1,710.
For the Pune-Hubballi route, passengers can choose the Chair Car for ₹1,475 or the Executive Class for ₹2,730. The train covers the Pune-Hubballi route in 8 hours and 30 minutes, while the Pune-Kolhapur route is completed in 5 hours and 25 minutes, making it a convenient and time-saving option for travelers.
The Vande Bharat Express, known for its modern design, speed, and comfort, has been met with enthusiasm by passengers. In the first 20 days of service, the train has transported over 8,700 passengers, reflecting the growing demand for high-speed and reliable rail services in the region.
The Central Railway’s Pune Division is optimistic about the train's future, with expectations of even higher passenger numbers in the coming months.
Dr. Milind Hirve, Divisional Commercial Manager of Central Railway's Pune Division, told mediapersons “The Vande Bharat trains running between Pune-Kolhapur and Pune-Hubballi have received an encouraging response from passengers. The demand is expected to grow further in the upcoming period.”
